Counselor view: Strong match. Accepts the Mongolian EYESH, IELTS 6.0, rolling decisions and scholarship consideration at application. General guidance only, not an admission prediction.
Kyoto University of Advanced Science is a private university in Kyoto, Japan, that offers three fully English-taught bachelor's degrees for international students: Engineering, Bioenvironmental Sciences and Business Administration. No Japanese is required to apply, and students can choose up to two faculties in one application. Applications are online and reviewed on a rolling basis, with results in about one to four weeks, and every applicant is considered for KUAS-E scholarships that range from 20% of fees to full fees plus a living stipend. KUAS lists the Mongolian national exam (EYESH) among its accepted standardized tests.
Advice from our counselors
KUAS is one of the most realistic Japanese options for Mongolian students who want to study in English: it lists the Mongolian EYESH as an accepted test, needs IELTS 6.0, requires no Japanese and decides on a rolling basis within weeks. The catch is timing: every document, including the test result, must be uploaded before applying, and the final deadline is 26 February 2027, before the 2027 EYESH. Grade 12 students should therefore use an SAT/ACT or AP result, or earlier valid results if accepted, and confirm with KUAS. Apply early, as places and KUAS-E scholarships (20% up to full fees plus a stipend) are limited. Engineering needs maths and physics; Business needs maths.
